If so, ACG can re-opened your claim to work hand and hand with your insurance company on getting the proper settlement you deserve.
Appraisal Services
Most carrier's will NEVER inform their insured of this; however, per the plain language of most insurance policies, insured may invoke the Appraisal Process any time there is a clear difference in the amount of loss between them (insured) and the carrier. Most carrier's will NEVER inform their insured of this; however, per the plain language of most insurance policies, insured may invoke the Appraisal Process any time there is a clear difference in the amount of loss between them (insured) and the carrier. When invoking Appraisal, both parties (insured & carrier) hire impartial - 3rd party - Appraisers to inspect and set a proper amount of loss. If the two impartial Appraisers reach an agreement on the amount of loss, they complete the appraisal process by executing what is called a binding Appraisal Award. If the chosen Appraisers are unable to reach an agreement on the amount of loss, the appraisal is then sent to another impartial 3rd party (previously & jointly selected by the two appraisers) known as the Umpire, who will also inspect the property before to issuing their own position/binding Award amount. Once 2 of the 3 impartial parties reach an agreement on the amount of loss by signing the Award, said Award is binding amongst both parties (insured & carrier).
